Trixy moved with Frank and Button. She had a grin plastered on her face. She had promised, and she was delivering today. "We stop here okay Button? This is where I needed to go, but ya might wanna cover your ears, I gotta make it loud and call our friends." she winked at Button. A grin of Mischief on her face. Beauregard was gonna have a heart attack she bet.
No time like the present. She threw her entire body up to her back legs as a howl ripped from her. It was the loudest she could be. She was calling all her friends, Artorias and Haydee and Gav. She was so proud of herself. But at the end there was another note. A call for her dad's, an announcement, she had done it! She had brought Button home. She had every right to this. Norad would rise today once more. They would work hard again. But Trixy would lead them this time.

The skinny pup followed easily behind his sister. When they stopped he blinked for a moment in confusion. Was this where they lived now, werent they heading for ethne when he’d run off. Wow things sure could seem confusing. He sat down plopping down right next to Trixy. Button was only a little taller than her right now. After all it appeared he’d be in the smaller side of things too. When Trixy called out his tail wagged. Ohhhhh what was this!
"Are we crowning your head today Trix!" he jumped up and down. He may have been young but he knew how his parents had acted while in Norad. Not to mention his vision of kings and knights, that was exactly it wasn’t it. As tired as he was he was filled with a new kind of excitement.

When he received news of the pack claim, Artorias headed straight over to see the culmination of the young once-Norad wolf’s work. A pack claim was a big event with major political ripples felt throughout Ardent and he was loathe to miss any big events. Crossing from home to wild lands, Artorias headed north across the Bifröst to the lands Ashen had once occupied, finding Bellatrix waiting there for any prospective challengers, as well as another smaller wolf that he recognized through a description Bella had given him some weeks ago; this must be Button. Art smiled at the two and nodded his head in greeting to the two. "Don’t mind me, just here to watch," he joked with Bella, sitting off to the side as they waited to see if anyone else would show up to challenge her claim.

In the aftermath of The Syndicates overtaking of Norad, Sephiran held a pack meeting; staking his claim over The Polar Sound and Ardens Glacies, and assigning his subordinates tasks to complete. Of course, Rhazien was crowned lead diplomat of the group; a role he falls effortlessly into, seeing he’s accustomed to being the face of their group. He’s the eldest too, the wisest of the bunch; and perhaps, the most level-headed. This made him perfect for the role. In the meeting, Elysia had expressed interest in joining him on his assignments, as he sought out knowledge of the existing packs in these lands. So far, he knew of the vikings, the Hallows, the Armada, and the raiders; but he’d only personally interacted with two out of the four. He needed more information; and why not start with the most southern regions, and work his way back up?
And so, he’d lead Elysia across the Bifrost, recognizing the blue male’s scent along the borders of the neighboring territories. Ahh, this must be The Hallows. Motioning for Elysia to follow, he keeps the girl close; his senses on high alert, scanning for any signs of danger. Artorias seemed like a man hellbent on erasing them from the earth; he couldn’t be too cautious, seeing they were walking around right outside his front door.
They’d enter the Aspen Dam next; memories of their overtaking trickling into his mind, as they continued their descent south. Next, was the falls; the rumbling of the waterfall echoing throughout the forest, adding an aura of tranquility which was ironic, seeing they’d uprooted the family that once lived here. Next, was a landscape of rolling grass hills, stretching as far as the eye could see; the hills rising and falling in arches, slopes adorned in an undulating sea of green, as the grasses rippled in the breeze. There was no pack here, which meant they would be moving on; at least, that was his plan, until a howl broke the silence.
Oh? How delightfully paradoxical this was; someone was staking their claim over this territory, inviting spectators far and wide to witness their rise to power. Shifting his gaze to Elysia, he ushers her forward with urgency; not wanting to miss such a crucial event in the ever-changing world of politics. He’d remind her of their purpose before they emerged from the foliage; they are just here to observe. Of course, that could quickly change, if they ran into a foe - they’d always react to violence with violence - only, they’d be vicious in their assault. A delightful possibility, no doubt.
Rhazien and Elysia emerge shortly after Artorias, and Rhazien’s gaze immediately falls upon the dire male. Ahh, he should have known he would be here. Still, Rhazien would stride forward, exuding that charming and characteristic aura, his tongue presumptively equipped with eloquence and persuasive charm. In his mind, he’s already calculating the degree of this encounter- the consequences it may have, if Artorias becomes enraged by his attendance. Still, he’d flash a smile at the male, nodding his head in acknowledgment before rumbling in those deep, baritones. “Artorias- greetings.” Externally, it may have seemed like a facade; but Rhazien was truly here to be a spectator, and nothing more. He’d even taken on a neutral stance; his shoulders relaxed, no tension in his muscles, his tail hanging in a loose position.
His attention shifts to the colorful girl standing in the center of the clearing- the source of the call, no doubt. She’s prideful and confident in her stance; head held high, standing tall and firm, commanding attention and conveying a sense of resilience. She’s trying to build this pack for a purpose, no doubt. Whether it be to harbor a home for her family, ensure havoc, set up a trading station, a market, or whatever it may be… Rhazien was simply here to find out her purpose and report it back to his Sultan.
Reclining to a seated position, Rhazien watches the girl with palpable interest; his two serval companions leaping down from his back, rubbing their bodies against his forelimbs, purring and trilling as they awaited a command from their master.

Elysia had offered her time to aid Her uncle Rhazien in the political aspects of keeping Their Sultan up to date on the other packs of the lands. A task she was more than happy to aid in if it got her more time with her Favorite Uncle and to see the rest of the world they lived in. She had much to learn from the eldest Saxe within the syndicate and She was an eager student. Rhazien was the face of their group, in terms of being the most held together in front of others. But as much as she loved him, he was older than them and it wouldn’t hurt if he passed his flare for politics onto someone younger, to ensure that a level head was always around to Aid Sephrian and the next generations. Besides, two level heads were better than one. So she didn’t question him when hed come to collect her for this trip. Saying her goodbyes to her brother shed eagerly thrown her fighting leathers on- just in case, a nonverbal signal to her hawk to follow along and then followed the large male out of the polar sound and down south.
Keeping close to her uncle was not a problem for her at all. In fact it was quite enjoyable to be given the chance to prove herself to him and her Sultan, an honor really. Sticking close enough to her uncle that she could reach out and touch him to silently alert him of any dangers that might emerge from the shadows of the border they currently walked beside, she remained silent. After all this was his mission and she was just along for the ride. He was in charge and she’d follow his lead.
They had begun to leave the area when a call rang out. A voice she did not recognize at that and curiosity surged through her. Someonewas calling for witnesses. Cockign her head to the side she looked at Rhazien. This would be something Sephrian would be curious to know indeed. Especially since not long ago they had dethroned Norad from this very area. Rhazian’s eyes had said it all, they would answer the call. And as her uncle ushered her with urgency she followed suit. Keeping pace with his steps she followed him into the rise of someone else’s power.
She didn’t have to be told twice what their purpose was. No she was to be an observer. She wouldn’t make the first move but she was allowed to defend herself and her family should it be needed. She could do that. Silently she watched as Rhazien moved towards a large male she had never seen before. Pausing a moment to collect herself, she put on a warm smile and followed him towards the stranger. Her body language, kind and friendly, a mask. One she had worn when she’d first met Scald. Minus the flirtatious hits to it.
Her mask didn’t falter even as Rhazian Addressed the stranger before them. Artorias A face to the name that sephrian had told them. this was the man who had declared our family his enemy. A blood feud per say. Elysia dipped her head in greeting, meeting the man's gaze. She made sure to commit his appearance and Scent to memory, after all most of their family had never met him and hopefully would never need to.
Leisurely, ely took a seat beside her uncle, remaining as friendly as she could, she wrapped her tail across her paws. Looking now at the colorful girl who appeared younger than her. She must have called for the witnesses. And yet even she remained a total stranger to the saxe woman. Minus a vaguely familiar scent. Ely patiently waited to see what other strangers would answer the girl’s call. This would be very interesting indeed.

Silver island was relatively close. She'd heard about the downfall of Ashen. It was unfortunate that they hadn't been able to bounce back. The antlered woman knew that her father and the former king of Ashen were friends. She also knew that the man had been ill previously and that illness seemed to return. If you thought about it, dissolving the pack and joining another to protect ones family... it was a wise, albeit difficult choice.
Dusk hadn't initially planned on attending the claiming of the pack, but her paws had started moving in that direction so she went with it. Then her father's scent clung to the terrain and, before she knew it, she was there. So far, the gathering was small. Dusk had arrived just in time to hear a big, dark coated brute greet her father. The midnight woman came up beside Artorias and seated herself. Dusk's long, obsidian tail slithered across the earth with a dexterity unlike any other. Whisper was in its proper place, laying in wait.
Fire opal eyes scanned the faces of the crowd and landed upon Bellatrix. Dusk was surprised to see that the small girl was the one attempting to claim the remnants of Ashen. Still, she shot the multi-colored girl a reassuring smile before shifting back into her normal, stoic expression. Quietly, she continued to sit beside her father, the pair looking like two sentinels in their silent rigidity.

There was no potential drama that Wendigo wasn't willing to poke his nose into for the notoriety it would bring - bad publicity was still publicity, after all, so when he heard some little voice calling out to claim a fallen pack, he'd lazily rolled to his paws and set out to see what was going to come of it. He was still yawning sleepily when he came upon the group, and half-lidded eyes scanned over them. Not all the would-be alpha's wolves, for sure, as several of them already stunk of unrelated pack-scents. Disappointingly, he didn't recognize a single wolf there, so he had to flop himself down alone. There was a peculiar tension between the two packs represented there, though, that made his mouth open in a tongue-lolling grin and tap his metal claws on the ground in anticipation. Ooo maybe one of them would attack the other? Well, even if they had the self control to deny him entertainment, maybe they'd get lucky and someone would show up to challenge the shrimpy, brightly colored little bitch for the pack spot. "Are you even old enough for a pack, kiddo?" he called out laughingly. "Or is your momma going to come looking for you and ruin our fun?"

She looked at button a smile on her face as her brother asked if they were crowning her head today. A small giggle was given to his antics and excitement. "That's the plan Button, we just gotta wait and see now." she stood ready and waiting for any to challenge her claim. She knew there was always that possibility. But she hoped to have none.
The first to show was Art. A grin was sent to him as well as a wag of her tail. He knew her purpose today and she was happy to know that there was, even if he couldn't give it in any other way, support for what she was doing here. She gave him a nod at his jest. She was happy to have him watch. Then came a start of trouble.
Two came, a scent on them that she recognized. Her eyes narrowed as they came. No doubt they were here for trouble. Her eyes went back to her brother, a warning there. She wanted the boy to stay close or to be near Art. She trusted Art would let nothing happen to the boy. She would need to guard herself from those two.
Then a face she recognized to be Dusk came. A smile was sent to her and she gave the woman a smile and dip of her head in return as the woman seated herself next to Artorias. She hoped that if Gav showed up the two would be able to have a word while Trixy did what she had to. The smile stayed on her face as she waited.
Even as another bigger brute showed up. This one was verbal and poking at her. Her gaze came to settle on him for a moment, but she knew better than to engage at the moment. If only the guy knew. Her "mother" was likely to stand with her and give her as much support as they could. Though last Trixy knew Tanelan was sick. But the one who might be unhappy with her doing this was likely coming and she didn't know how Beauregard would react. Though she knew one thing, he would be happy that she had found Button and that she felt ready for the responsibility she was trying to take today. Best to ignore the pokes at her size though. "You will find I'm more than old enough to take this responsibility on." that was all she would say to him before turning her eyes back to the main island. She was hopeful that many would come to support her and hopefully none to challenge her. Frank stood by her side ready to aid her should she need it. She would fight if she needed to for it though.

Gavroche had begged his grandmother to go, but with Bellamy home tending to pack related things and preparing for the worst, well, the responsibility for allowing the boy to come support his friend had fallen on Beauregard’s shoulders. The man could not be more proud of Bellatrix, but he worried for her too… in claiming a pack slot she opened up the possibility that her family would be made a target. Yet… Beauregard could not be more proud of her. His tail swished back and forth as he stepped up to the gathering with Gavroche at his side, just in time to hear the smart remark from another young wolf. He rolled his eyes at that. Some wolves assumed that just because you were small meant that you couldn’t do anything. He was wrong. Beauregard sat on the sidelines and offered his daughter a small smile. “Proud of you, Bellatrix.” He told her.
As his mates, Tanelan and Co. are allowed in any thread Beauregard is in regardless of tag.

Despite his current… affliction… Gavroche wanted to see and support Trixy in her claim. He knew she was doing it as a form of standing up to those who had forced her family to give up their home, to show that they wouldn’t be broken, and Gavroche admired her for that. After Bellamy relented on his punishment that he could go, Gavroche set off at the paws of Beauregard. Wrapped up in the cloak that produced his skin from sunburn, the yearling was doing his best to not be self conscious of the fact that he was, effectively, naked as he approached a bunch of strangers. Which worked fine until he saw that Dusk was among them too!
Heat made his cheeks burn and Gavroche slipped to the opposite side of Beauregard in hopes that maybe Dusk wouldn’t notice him like this. His green gaze slipped to Bellatrix, a small smile and nod given to his friend. She had done it! She had made good on the promise she would rebuild her family… at least the start of it all! Gavroche then let his gaze shift to his paws, shuffling them awkwardly as he waited to hear what Trixy would say.

No sooner had Artorias gotten settled, more wolves began to congregate to watch Bellatrix's attempt to stake her claim for her pack to replace the fallen Ashen. Unfortunately for him, the next to arrive were Rhazien Saxe and another wolf he didn't know, but who also bore the stench of the Syndicate on her coat. Artorias would have been keen to just ignore their presence altogether, but the egotist brute and his escort simply weren't content to let that be. So, as Rhazien strode up like a peacock in full bloom with a smile and honeyed words, Artorias would bite his tongue to keep his expression carefully guarded, though the tension in his posture would show he remained on guard. He had expressed before that the first stroke of war would not come from the Hallows' paws and he intended to keep to his tenets, no matter how much the Syndicate chose to tempt him. You couldn't trust a Saxe, after all.
"Rhazien," he replied simply, tones measured and firm. It was decidedly not a pleasure to be seeing him. He caught the other smaller female peeking up at him and his fiery gaze darted to her, taking her in with a cursory glance but saying nothing to her. He wanted to know all the wolves of the Syndicate, just in case they ever decided to do something incredibly... stupid. Movement next to him caught the Lord of Cinder's attention, and he turned to spy his daughter coming to join him at his side. He hadn't realized Dusk had been nearby, but he was gladdened by her presence all the same—gladdened and concerned to have her in the same vicinity of two Syndicate wolves.
Leaning over to gently rub his shoulder against Dusk's, Artorias leaned over to whisper in her ear. "Nu le recunoașteți." Amber eyes glanced down to his daughter's long tail, catching the glimpse of silver tucked away within her raven fur. She was armed as well. Artorias did not have his sword with him today, but he did have his dagger in the bracer on his foreleg, just in case. If the Syndicate chose violence at this event, the Carpathians would be ready. Then, in stoic silence, the father-daughter duo settled in to watch as more and more wolves showed up, including Beauregard. Artorias' posture tensed as he watched the former alpha; would he be inclined to do anything towards the Syndicate wolves or would this remain a peaceful event?

She could hear the call all the way from the barren dunes. Ears perked up and she began the trip south west. She was going to be claiming a pack today, though where ever this call was coming from was certainly not where she had been considering. However, their presence was too close given the pirates she could smell from a hundred miles away and Insomnia both residing in the west.
The trip took her a while, though her birds were happy to lead the way as her cat took turns between riding on her back and walking beside her. By the time she found where the call had come from, others had already gathered.... around a child?
"Since when can children lead a pack?" she mocked with a laugh, though she honestly was questioning the tiny neon and white colored wolfs age before her. Even Cryptis was taller than this wolf, possibly even older too. Challenging them wouldn't be a challenge at all, even if there was a horn attached to their nose.
"My name is Widow, and I challenge you for this pack," she announced with a smirk and rolled her shoulders as if she wasn't already limbered up enough from her journey here.
"Speech!"

A familiar call to claim had sounded, and Medusa was eager to attend this event. What timing! She and Widow had recently discussed this very thing, claiming a pack of her own and providing an ally and another extension of Insomnia. What luck! She wasn't far off from Ashen's old stomping grounds. What had caused the pack to disband in the first place, she wondered? Chimera seemed fine and dandy to her the last time she had seen him! Though perhaps things weren't always as they seemed. No matter. One's misfortune became another's opportunity, and where there be chaos, there be a Medusa. She hurried to follow after Widow's trail, sending Seymour ahead to scout and keep an eye on her comrade until she got there. She wondered who had tried to stake their claim first? Pedal to the metal, Medusa made it in the nick of time to hear what Widow had to say, and she had to admit, she too, was confused as to why a seemingly small child was trying to stake a claim? Or...maybe she was just a tiny, dwarf adult...maybe? She shrugged it off. It didn't matter to her who it was, she didn't know the bright coated kid, and she was here to support Widow! She cackled with glee as she took up a seat in support of her friend, dual-toned gaze looking around as she spotted the vaguely familiar alpha of castle town. She giggled and offered an enthusiastic wave before turning her sights back to Widow. She didn't know the others present, though she was curious to see who else might show up. These kinds of challenges, after all, had the tendency to draw all sorts of attention! |
As her mate and *ahem* protective detail, Erebos may crash her threads at anytime!
Please note: Medusa is a wildcard! While she is mostly kind, friendly, and eager to help, she can equally be cold, aggressive, and eager to murder you depending on how you treat her! She refers to herself and often, others, in the third person (illeism), and occasionally has tics due to her Tourette's and may giggle and laugh at random, and may twitch here and there. She is a blood & gore type of character, and is not above killing, maiming, or other such violent actions if she's given a reason to do so. It's often in your best interest to not cross her or get on her bad side. Ya never know what she might do c:

Find me where the wild things are The appearance of her dad and Gav didn't go unnoticed. Her grin turned into a smirk for the brute who questioned her before, there was the answer. Beau was proud of her and he had made a point to state so loud enough everyone heard. She turned her eyes to gav then a smile on her lips for him. He was a sight for sore eyes, and her dad a sight for homesick ones. Right as she thought no one would challenge and she was getting ready to speak her peace, political mumbo jumbo sorta stuff, a new pair of faces arrived. The words from the one were words she had already heard once. That was really getting annoying. Just because she was small they assumed her a child. Her eyes deadpanned at the woman. Her patients for those jokes and mocking statements were running thin. "Dont judge me by my size, I may be small but I'm more than old enough to hold the position I'm seeking today." she stood and turned to face the woman, moving to nudge her brother towards their dad. "Go sit with Dad and Gav, Button...." she turned her eyes to the woman as she stated her challenge. "Bellatrix Ravenwood, and I accept your challenge." her eyes narrowed and locked on the woman, taking brief note of her birds. This wouldn't be easy but she wasn't going to roll over and just let this woman have what she worked hard to earn. She lifted her half tail to act as a rudder and a flag of her dominance. She would not fear this woman or let her think she had the right to just push her around. She reached and jerked her dagger from its sheath, letting the blade stick from ther right side of her mouth. Her lips pulled back and exposed those adult teeth for all to see, time everyone stopped calling her a child. She was a gods damned woman and this was going to be her God's damned pack. Her toes splayed digging in to the dirt and sand, to keep her traction under control here. She rolled her shoulders forward as her hackles rose. Her vest was tightened preemptively before she had made her call, it would protect her ribs, chest, and back. Without a second thought, she leapt into action. She came at Widow should she have not moved already, dagger clutched tight in her jaws and ears folding for their protection. She attempted to close the gap between them her head lowering to be level with her spine. She kept focused on whatever way Widow decided to move as she closed the gap, aiming to make sure to meet her head on and keep her from just side stepping her. Her body curled to the right as she came near, aiming to throw her full body weight and left side into Widow's front right leg with the force of her charge and her body weight behind it. If she was lucky she might fracture Widow's leg. Her dagger was kept to the side of her body as not just a weapon but a deterrent to going for a grab anywhere near her face and head. Best part about the dagger was it was only sharp on the edge she held outward and at the tip, so there was little risk of her cutting herself with the maneuver. She was tiny, so she would have to make up for that in ferocity and determination to make her a leader today. Her muscles were coiled ready for the next part of her plan. Walk, "Talk", Think |

There was a small crowd, but it would be enough to witness today’s events. Medusa wasn’t far behind her it seemed and she was grateful for her support. She would likely be seen as the bad guy taking this pack from a child today, but she hardly cared. She didn’t want to be too cocky though, but it was hard given what she had to work with.
Her challenge was accepted and her smirk deepened, eager to get this show on the road. Widow’s opponent was much smaller than her and so she spread her legs evenly with her shoulders and hips, squaring herself off and lowering herself slightly to brace and balance better, as well as to narrow the gap between herself and the ground. Her tail tucked between her legs not to be submissive, but to protect her belly. Dexterous toes spread into the dirt with her cat claws extended for better grip as her chin tucked to protect her throat from the smaller wolf.
Bellatrix was charging at her now and Widow rolled her shoulders forward to brace and raised her hackles as the smaller woman approached and threw her weight into Widows front right leg. It would certainly leave a deep bruise and be sensitive to walk on later, but she could manage for now. Aiming to trap Bellatrix and keep her close, Widow swiftly raised her front right paw and sought stomp Bellatrix's left front paw in an effort break Bellatrix's toes, her claws extended to scratch at the skin upon the front of Bellatrix’s front left leg in her own paws’ descent. At the same time, jaws snapped downwards in an attempt to grab Bellatrix by her scruff at the back of her neck just behind the ears to control her head and prevent any damage from that knife. As Widow moved her head down, her domestic cat shifted down her neck and launched towards Bellatrix's lower spine past the vest, seeking to dig sharp claws into Bellatrix's hips as both of the ravens took a turn dive bombing at Bellatrix's heels with their claws extended, reaching to grab onto the sensitive tendons of both her hind legs just above the heel once each.

Find me where the wild things are Her body connected to Widow's and she was already moving to work her way into phase two of her attack plan. She wanted this pack more than anything right now. Her ears stayed pressed as her lips peeled more. She dropped her head more, her narrowed eyes looking back at the incoming fangs of Widow, she couldn't avoid it but she could make sure the woman got a hold where Trixy would be less controlled. Widow's teeth met her raised scruff closer to her vest. Trixy figured the flesh would be pierced but with the adrenaline in her system right now she could ignore it. Trixy splayed her back paws as she lifted her front half, Aiming to shove her rolled shoulders up into the the woman while simultaneously twisting her body more to the right while raising her chin, aiming the dagger tip for Widow's face, anywhere would work. With her upward motion she felt the claws of Widow scrape her leg, damage to assess later she figured. Her tail whipped with her body keeping her balance, even as claws and two sets of talons met her hips and ankles. Her own companion giving an enraged bellow as he came barreling in a half circle for Widow's midsection to the right side of the woman, antlers lowered. His antlers aiming to knock Widow from her feet, while also possibly bruising and maybe puncturing in places. Trixy splayed her back legs wider to accommodate her weight and keep from kissing the ground. Her lips curled as a snarl ripped from her. Walk, "Talk", Think |

Widow's fangs sank into the raised hackles near Bellatrix’s shoulders instead and this would be fine, especially since she successfully stomped onto Bellatrix’s left front paw and now effectively had her trapped. Of course, she still had to watch out for that knife. Widow kept her chin tucked tight to protect her throat and squinted her eyes just in case the knife got too close.
Keeping her stance with her hackles raised, limbs spread, and body slightly lowered to the ground for balance, her tail curled beneath her to protect vitals, and her toes spread and curled for traction, she could feel Bellatrix strain to raise up. Widow responded by curling her right front toes even harder into Bellatrix’s front left paw trapped beneath her own massive one. It wasn’t the most comfortable however, and she could feel her paw aching from the odd position. Widow couldn’t stop the knife from slicing into the left side of her face however, vertically and for about an inch from the center of her cheekbone towards the middle of her lower jaw. She hissed at the pain and suddenly jerked her head towards the right and away from the knife while keeping her chin tucked, using the motion to attempt tearing the flesh or even removing a chunk of hair from Bellatrix’s lower nape. The sudden movement she made caused her a slight amount of pain however, likely a pinched nerve or a pulled muscle that she would be sore from for the next few days.
Abandoning their attack on Bellatrix’s tendons, the ravens caw’d in unison angrily as the reindeer bellowed and they redirected their focus onto it instead. As the hoofed animal approached, the ravens moved quickly to position themselves on either side of the reindeer's head, reaching with extended claws for its face once each as best they could around its sharp antlers in an attempt to distract and prevent the companion animal from charging straight into Widow’s right side, hopefully redirecting its charge attack onto them instead. Widow's cat, however, held onto Bellatrix’s hips for dear life, readjusting their grip on her hips with sharp claws seeking to dig into the flesh.

Ashen was gone. Hattori couldn't even really say it came as a surprise, it felt inevitable almost. Not even because Chimera had been in charge, it was simply a relic of a time long since passed. The empire hadn't even been a thing for years and yet the Kleins clung onto it all the same, as if it would make any difference. And here, a pair of upstarts were squabbling over the remains, he was not impressed. Not by their fighting, or even who they were. A yearling who by definition wasn't nearly ready as she thought she was, stunk like Ethne and...one of Recluse's lot? He was vaguely familiar with her, might have seen her in passing but didn't know her by name nor did he care to.
His gaze flitted to the crowd instead as he moved, lingering on the outskirts as always, pace slow with the confidence of a man who knew his value and would not have it questioned. So they were the Syndicate lot? He could near see Artorias bristling at the sight of them, this could very well turn into a mess.

A tiny call reached her ears as she lay in the shade of Avian Estuary. Wolves hadn't trespassed, but their scents drawing to the call was undeniable. Calliope wouldn't call it curiosity more so that she would call it an itch. The potential to cause drama or witness a fight made her belly warm with excitement. Stretching to her paws, she makes her way across the waters and over to where the group has congregated. Fortunately, she does recognize two of the wolves, Rhazien and Wendigo. The older man clearly reeks of a pack so she stays clear of him, but Wendigo, he's her target.
Circling around the outer edge of the group, only glancing at the fighting duo for a brief moment, Calliope plops herself down into a lazy sitting position beside the older boy. She glances around at the others, feeling the same tension that the others feel. When her attention draws back to Wendigo, she gives him a brilliantly dashing smile that meant nothing good. "I bet you one bottle of booze that the blue man over there starts a fight first," she lifts a paw to point at Artorias, eye brows lifted slighlty to see if Wendigo will play along with her bet.

Warning: Calliope is callous, rude, and unpredictable. Do NOT expect nice things from her.

As the Raider's Crow, Scald felt it necessary to heed the call that rang out from Silver Island. Nearby to their own lands, he wondered if they would have a new neighbor sooner than later. Taking a leisurely pace as he normally did, he really was in no rush. Anything dramatic would probably wait until a new leader was crowned as everyone attending would be more interested in watching their fight than starting their own. And whoever won? Eh, Scald just needed the details to recant back to his sister and mother. Emerging from the waters, shaking off his coat, it wasn't hard to find the growing congregation. Though he notices the tiny, colorful wolf fighting the larger, darker wolf first, he then pulls his gaze back to the spectators. His sister is off sitting with... someone he doesn't recognize. A brow raised, a scoff under his breath. Let her sit with the mongrels. There are others he doesn't recognize either, but a seemingly far larger gathering for the colorful wolf has attended compared to the lone leader that came to support the larger woman. Then as he finishes his scan, he notices Ely sitting beside an older wolf who looks oddly similar to her. Family by chance? She had mentioned that her family was settling in the north so it would make sense. Moving through the crowd, paying no one else much mind, he heads straight for Ely. Coming to sit on her other side that is open, he places his haunches close enough that their tails could touch, but not any closer. The Raider's would stay mutual in these political scenarios. "It appears our paths continue to cross, beautiful," he leans over to murmur the words to her and her only, a smile briefly on his lips before he leans away. For now, he'll focus on the challenge and what else may transpire. |
