Massive paws met the ground as the large man meandered. Behind him likely was a smaller version of himself, and he preferred that, though he would never verbally admit. Hunched shoulders worked as long legs lead the brute to the sound of rushing waters. It wasn't the sound he was here for. No. A scent he had caught long whiles back. Carrion.

He wasn't picky, and if his companion wanted to complain, well he could sniff out things on his own. Massive claws dig at the dirt as he stops, nose to the soil. A second scent catching his attention. "Hmmm..... your in luck, Boden...... smells like shrooms. Not to mention, ya hear that?" as if to accentuate his deep baritone words, a splash sounds from the stream ahead. "Bet you that's salmon." He didn't turn his head. He knew his brother wasn't out of hearing distance likely. Claws worked more before, finally, the culprit of the distraction was unearthed. A massive ball of mushrooms.

He didn't eat it though. Instead moving over it carefully and towards the water. He didn't much care for the mushroom taste. Give him meat any day, carrion, fish, fresh kills, it wouldn't matter. His nose worked overtime as it twitched back and forth. Before the behemoth rose to his back legs and tucked those front tools to his stomach. His blue eyes scanning the river. Sure enough a red color flashed as another fish flopped up river. A smirk came to his lips before he came back down to his fours. Easy pickings.

Their pace was leisurely though there was the intent to get a hold of some delicious food. Boden could feel a growing gnaw in his belly as he lumbered along behind his grumpier brother. Dûrion was larger than he was, a mighty figure, but he took things in a serious and sour manner that Boden just… couldn't understand. Despite this, Boden remained close to his littermate. Family was and would always be everything, and no matter his mannerisms Boden felt if it really came down to it his brother would always have his back.

The mention of mushrooms being found caught Boden’s attention and the male lifted a brow. No, not just mushrooms but salmon as well. Sweet fish would always be his favorite but a side of mushrooms wouldn't be bad… and they could use some to lure the fish into leaping from the water if they decided to be difficult. Moving over to the mushrooms, Boden would take his first bite, chewing over the thick flesh as he let his blue gaze shift to his brother. Dûrion didn’t care much for things that weren’t meat, though Boden thought that rounding out your diet was a good thing.

A few moments later his brother would prove his skill as a hunter and smack one of the salmon up on shore. Boden’s ears twitched, silently cheering for Dûrion before shifting on his paws. “Nice catch,” He rumbled. As big as they were, Boden knew he’d need to catch his own but that was alright. He could manage catching one. Casting a look down at his mushrooms, Boden decided to leave them and get some salmon while the getting was good. He’d move to the edge of the water next to where his brother was and prepare to strike in the same manner, gaze flicking to the water as he waited for the perfect opportunity.
