Seasonal Skill Prompts
Skill Prompts are a monthly feature that allow your character to gain skills in different ways. Each character can only complete ONE prompt per season, and can be completed either in a solo post or in a group thread. You cannot claim these posts for other skill points! Please note that as long as you complete the objectives, you're free to be creative with your posts and have some fun with these prompts!
For solo posts, you must complete the entire prompt in one post. Of course, you can use these posts as thread starters and continue the thread as usual, but no other skills may be claimed by you from that thread.
For group threads, the word count is cumulative and will be counted over all participants. However, participants must be ACTIVELY trying to complete the skill prompt for their words to count. Note that group threads have a maximum of 3 allowed participants unless otherwise specified.
Fall, Year 20 Seasonal Skill Prompts
Fighting
Disco Fever: The aurora lighting up the night sky would make for some very cinematic mood lighting, might be a great time for a nocturnal spar!
Goal: Fight someone at night under the aurora.
Word Count: 1500 (Group)
Location: Anywhere!
Tasks:
1. Consider what challenges there might be in fighting at night.
2. Find an opponent.
3. FIGHT!

Hunting
Night Owls: Prey animals at night seem more active with the increased brightness of the moon this season. Maybe it's a good chance to hunt them down!
Goal: Hunt a prey animal at night, and note the challenges of doing so.
Word Count: 800 (Solo) or 1500 (Group)
Location: Anywhere!
Tasks:
1. Notice that some prey animals are being unusually active at night, no doubt due to the unusually bright moonlight.
2. Locate a target and track them down.
3. Hunt them, noting the difficulties of hunting at night.

Healing
Fleas, Fleas and Mites, Oh My!: With the change in seasons, it seems external parasites are unusually prominent these days...
Goal: Treat someone (or yourself) for external parasites.
Word Count: 800 (Solo) or 1500 (Group)
Location: Anywhere!
Tasks:
1. Find someone who's suffering from an external parasite of some sort.
2. Figure out what's going on and how to best treat them.
3. Treat the patient (or yourself) as best as you can.

Navigation
Northern Lights: As the season changes, the northern lights can be seen as far as Auster some nights!
Goal: Study the northern lights.
Word Count: 800 (Solo) or 1500 (Group)
Location: Anywhere!
Tasks:
1. View the northern lights.
2. Study them. Watch how they change throughout the night. Maybe they're different than something you've seen before?
3. Discuss what seeing them more often (or in a different location than usual?) might mean.

Intellect
Eat, Drink, and Be Merry: All of autumn's fallen ripe fruits are just going to waste laying on the ground, might as well put them to use!
Goal: Use autumn's fallen fruits to try to make a fall-themed beverage.
Word Count: 800 (Solo) or 1500 (Group)
Location: Anywhere!
Tasks:
1. Decide to make a fall-themed beverage (mead, wine, or something else entirely!)
2. Gather the ingredients and get to work.
3. Are you successful or not? If not, what went wrong or could've gone differently?

BONUS PROMPT- Hunting / Intellect
Dinner with Friends: Get a fire going, get some meat roasting and have a good time!
Goal: Craft a fire and roast some meat over it with a friend (could be another character, companion, etc.)
Word Count: 800 (Solo) or 1500 (Group)
Location: Anywhere!
Tasks:
1. Get a fire going.
2. Cook some meat over it! Explain the cooking methods.
3. Enjoy a good, hearty meal with a friend (or multiple). Could be anyone, even an NPC or companion.
Reward: 30 Hunting & 30 Intellect Points2. Cook some meat over it! Explain the cooking methods.
3. Enjoy a good, hearty meal with a friend (or multiple). Could be anyone, even an NPC or companion.
Redeem prompts as usual in skill claims!
