When fully grown, Hazel will be an athlete. Her limbs will be long and strong, built solid and reliable. An even, medium build, this is a girl who has great endurance in a fight or a hunt. She’s built to be positively relentless, after all. No, there’s no look of fragility, and she is not delicate by any means. A girl that can hold her own in a fight, even against much larger creatures.

At least her facial features are reasonably delicate, close up. Her eyes are green-hazel in color, and a bit large on her face. Hazel’s base color is a grey-cream, but this is mostly visible on her underside. Over her back and fading down her sides, Hazel wears a dark rust red-brown. These colored hairs mix with white and grey over her sides, and towards her rump. Her face is mostly pale, with some lighter rust markings around her muzzle. Hazel also has an irregular marking through her right eye. There are also small, irregular markings on her front toes.

When you’re abandoned at a young age, left to fend for yourself with seemingly nothing to keep you whole, it really is a lesson in living for the moment. Hazel takes things one day at a time, and she always will. Don’t look back, you’re not going that way. She won’t go back and she can’t go back, so what’s the use hanging her hat on something she can’t have anymore? It’s only in private that Hazel gets sad. If she can trick everyone else into thinking she’s at peace with it, then she’ll be at peace with it.

Or something like that.

The future? Well, the future is barely tomorrow in her experience. Still, she’s doing her best to learn. If Hazel wants to live, she’ll learn and she’ll grow. A pup that exists mostly in survival mode. When that turns off, who knows what will be left. For now, she is purely in the moment. What will come next? Only time will tell. There’s a lot of trauma underneath it all. To truly heal from it will take time, energy, and more practice than she can really be sure about.

There’s a bit of strange to Hazel. It likely comes from the fact that she missed out on some key developmental milestones as a baby, and is a bit… feral. Manners sometimes escape her, and she can be reckless. As she grows, it may morph into a bit of a punch first, ask questions later approach to life. For now, Hazel is simply a bit strange. She will always hold tightly to her individuality, because no one can ever take that away.

When it comes to her interactions with others, Hazel will never beg someone to stay. She’ll barely even ask– it would have to be someone really special. There will be no chasing of what doesn’t want her, and if something or someone doesn’t match her energy, she’ll simply leave. Hazel views every moment, every second as precious. To waste any time at all? That’s a crime.

Hazel is, and will always be, relentless. It’s that relentlessness which allowed her to survive on her own. No matter what, she’ll carry on. With no one else to carry her, she learned to carry herself. So it goes, and so it will always be. Positively relentless, this girl may never learn how to quit. Quitting means death. Never a quitter, never going to let go or give up. Hazel won’t let anyone get her down, most of all, herself. personality
