Hattori has the build of a hardened warrior and the coat of a pretty boy. Like all dire wolves he’s tall and imposing, standing at an impressive 45 inches from head to toes. His form is muscular and firm but he’s surprisingly light on his feet, often resulting in him sneaking up on others without ever intending to. This is most likely due to his training as a shinobi, though he’d never say as much.

The base of his coat is dark black, however, given the right lighting it takes on a bluish iridescent sheen, like the feathers of a crow or a raven. The large majority of his fur is covered in splodges of orange, shifting in hues and intensity as the markings descend down his form. Smaller splashes of brown are also present but they’re easy to miss and will likely fade as he grows older. Strangely his paw pads and claws are white, as is the fur on his inner ear and brows. These features aren’t common in his family and they’re likely a genetic hiccup if nothing else. Whilst his markings no doubt make him stand out in Boreas it’s fairly standard in his homeland, as a large majority of those who carry noble blood take after koi fish.

Doubling down on his pretty boy factor, Hattori’s face is sharp and handsome. Slashes of orange line his muzzle, favouring the left side of his face and leaving the right side bare. His eyes are ashy grey and his gaze can best be described as intense. This certainly isn’t helped by the fact he stares for longer than what is considered socially acceptable, only pulling away when he loses interest or he’s given a very obvious hint to stop. To top that all off Hattori isn’t very emotive; his variety of expressions is fairly limited and for the most part he looks neutral, as if he’s stuck with a resting bitch face.

Two pairs of horns adorn his brow like a crown, the tallest at the back and the shortest to the front. Both sets are sharpened to a point. His second mutation lies at his paws, instead of regular nails he has a set of eagle talons.To compensate for their size his toes are a little longer than average and able to spread wide for more efficient slicing.

As of Halloween 2021, Hattori's horns and whiskers have grown 2 inches taller/longer. Making him look, at a glance, a little taller than he really is. His eyes now also glow a pale white in the dark.

Hattori is the strong and silent type.

He isn’t very social and it shows. He finds it all rather tedious and will only speak at length when it’s required of him, otherwise he’s content to simply observe and linger on the side lines of conversations, like a judgemental shadow. On the off chance that he does have something to say his words are often clipped and curt, intonated by a thick Japanese accent that still hasn't faded. When it comes to casual, intimate, meetings, Hattori stiffens up and gets awkward, like a fish out of water. Though Hattori means no ill will he’s painfully blunt and direct, pushing straight to the point, rarely taking a moment to consider how his words or actions may be interpreted. If he acts out of place he won’t hesitate to apologise and make amends, but do not mistake his compliance for submission. Hattori is not a doormat and he won’t be treated as such.

Shinobi or not Hattori is a man of his word. Proud and honourable, he's quick to cast judgement and once he's made up his mind it's near impossible to sway his opinion. Or in other words he's insufferably stubborn and steadfast when it comes to his beliefs. From atop his moral high ground he views acts of cruelty and corruption as intolerable, like any warrior he's willing to take orders but not when they oppose his strict moral compass. He believes that respect ought to be earned and not freely given, this applies to himself and until he feels as though he's proved himself worthy Hattori will dismiss honorifics and special treatments. That being said he's ambitious but reserved about it, holding his cards close to his chest till it's time to make his play.

Above all, Hattori values strength and valour. One day he hopes to become a fearsome warrior like from the tales of old, to bring his clan honour as a name remembered throughout the ages.
