As Winter threatened to take over Boreas, the nights in the East were becoming colder and colder. After experiencing the freezing waters that flooded the Willows, Dominus was ready for a change of scenery. He endured the colder seasons much better than the warmer ones, but even the mice he had been overrun with while meeting Poem were fleeing to the South. He decided to follow their lead and see what sort of prey were also escaping to Auster.

The last time he had attempted to cross the bifrost, he had been stopped by a massive saltwater crocodile. That had been the last and only time he had ever encountered a reptile of that size, but the image of those massive jaws on such a thick-skinned titan often haunted him and made him curious for what else resided within the unknown continent. What sort of prey would he be able to encounter? Was there any suitable place for him to wait out the next season? These were questions on his mind as he followed the coastline.

He stood on the cliffs of Fjord for some time as he watched the bifrost, checking the water levels before he dared to make the mistake of attempting to cross and encountering another flood. His piercing blue gaze scanned the single strip of land that tied the continents together for as far as he could see, though it was while he was gauging the safety of his planned crossing that he heard the loud booming roar of something louder than he had ever experienced.

Their bellows came before they did, though the first roar was enough to make the teen duck and flatten his tall frame along the surface of the cliff. He watched through the dried autumn grass as the massive cats began to cross, a heavily maned male leading the pride. Lions. It was a small pride of 5, one male and four females. Suddenly, he was questioning his plan on crossing now that he watched the pride make the journey. Did he really want to run into them on the other side? The sting of the lynx claws had been enough to make him hate cats... did he want to risk defending himself among even one cat that size?

His ears flicked as he thought out his next course of action, completely oblivious to the female scout that had traveled up the rocks of the Fjord just as he had. The lion was already stalking him, her frame low and hugging the floor as she used the back of her paws to move through the grass without a sound, her green eyes wide and absolutely locked on the behemoth wolf in front of her.

Trick 2019
08-26-2019, 08:29 PM (This post was last modified: 08-26-2019, 08:32 PM by Eir.)

Young legs moved across the Fjord , her steps were secure, with no fear on them, Eir barely or never let fear conquer her body and mind. And so on she walked, being a prey of her endless thirst for exploration, she was always up to meet other places, and being part of a pack didn't mean an impediment for her to explore. Yes, she was in a pack, but she didn't think that would mean she explicitly had to be there all the time, and perhaps she could find knowledge for the pack's use. And like that she adventured herself out of Lirim, with firm steps leading to wherever the wind wanted.

Time passed and the young warrior was now on rocky terrain, one that led to the ocean. Her green gaze staved the place with great interest though no emotion was visible on the yearling's face, she could see the sea, and a small Bifrost that maybe could be leading to a place, but she wasn't sure. But soon a roar echoed through the land like a clap of thunder, when she stared down she could see a group of lions, the male is especially huge.

Others could think of this as impossible but well, nothing seemed too impossible for the teenager. Nothing would intimidate her, she was ready. But when her eyes looked to another spot, there was a large male also watching the cats, and there she wondered what would he do, though she wasn't going to interfere in his affairs. But if told to she would, any meant a chance for her to expand her fighting skills, yes she was willing to fight a lion if needed, though with the aid of another it could come greatly. Lowering her body she placed herself close to the male but giving him enough space, and with a quick glare at his eyes, she asked for orders.

"Can you see me?"

The lioness that had been stalking the wolf hid behind some of the larger rock formations that littered themselves across the top of the Fjord when she heard the approach of the second wolf. Being a scout, she was alone but found herself thankful for her pale gray color to aid in disappearing against the surface of the rocks surrounding the three. She waited to see if any more wolves would appear to back up the male before she would are make her presence known for them. Her ambush had been stopped short, but as she watched the pair and became more confident that they were alone, she resumed her slow growl through the tall grass back in their direction.

Dominus had not expected the woman to his side at all, having been extremely focused on the sighting of the lions that were passing. He had absolutely no desire to alert them, so at first, he felt his heart race not only from being startled by the girl's presence alone but also by the possibility that she would give away their position to the lions below. He tried to calm himself and catch his breath, fear certainly not a foreign thing for him to admit he had.

"Hello, can I help you?" He wasn't sure why she had came right up next to him like she did, not even fathoming the idea that someone would actually want to mess with a pride of lions- so he assumed she needed something. Sapphire stare finally let the sight of the lions go as they instead inspected the stranger. He began to stand back to his full height when he noticed the pale of the lioness in the grass, and instinct worked his muscles itself as they readied him for a fight. Knees bent immediately, ears shot back as his face contorted into an ugly, meaty snarl. His eyes were now locked on the cat as he growled out in warning, hoping to deter it from attacking them by letting it see how fucking mean a wolf could be up close.

Trick 2019

Even if she tried to be clear with her message, it seemed the male didn't get it but well, she was here to be of aid if needed. But why would she help an stranger? Well, she was here for the fight that may come from this situation, any fight meant more experience for the girl, and so she won't allow it to go this easily, she was here to take it all. But soon her eyes switched on a move from afar, it was a lioness of the ivory pelt, her eyes were placed upon them, it was clear her plans weren't kind. But well she wasn't going to run if that was the feline's intentions, running was of cowards and she wasn't one. She stood her ground, challenging the predator with her eyes, which staved the cat's figure, she wasn't going to show weakness, she was aware of that if one did it would call for the attack of a predator. That was what hunters always looked for, for weakness to take advantage of.

Soon the male spoke, asking her business here, she didn't lift her eyes from the feline, she wasn't going to give them free space to attack while she wasn't watching. "To help you." Clear and short she hoped it was enough for getting rid of his questionings, the hair of her scruff rose in dominance, and firmly she stood up lifting her lips to show her ivory fangs. And following the male's moves, she snarled, with no fear on her side.

And there she started to think of possible tactics to bring down the feline, she was aware of their size differences. The lion was much larger and heavier, and their claws had to be taken into account. But they were smaller, much faster and wolves were known for their stamina and resistance but over all of that, their teamwork. But would a combined attack work well with two strangers? Wolves that never crossed paths before? It could as it could but with such danger on their face, the choice would have to be done now. She looked at the male and then at the feline, waiting for the moment to attack.

The lioness took off, abandoning all hope for an ambush and instead ran face-first into the two wolves that had now had time to set up their defenses. She seemed fearless. Dominus' heart raced within his chest as he moved out of the way. They were on the narrow end of the Fjord with limited space available to their movement, Dominus wanted to get to the other side of the lion as quickly as possible so they were not trapped.

Fangs clicked together in his vicious snapping as she reached out for him, her claws cutting through the air and sending it through the fur of his cheeks strong enough for him to feel against his hidden blue skin. He moved out of the way of her quickly, shuffling his paws carefully along the rocks. He moved to his left, attempting to draw her attention away from the wolf in his company so that she might be able to plan an attack. They had to tag-team this lion from two different sides and take turns going for its weak points. Dominus would handle her focus for now, as he seemed to be the lion's primary target as it was. He didn't really have a choice.

"I like help, for the record." He called out to her, amusement and sarcasm still finding his speech in a situation like this. If she had found him rude before, he hoped it wasn't enough so to inspire her to abandon him while he distracted the lion.

Her cyan eyes remained focused on the predator that tried to ambush them like if the rolls just inverted, they were the prey now. But Eir wasn't going to step back now that she had set her eyes upon the attacker, no, she wasn't going to run if she did how would she feel afterward? Would she be proud of herself after running like a coward? Nope, she would rather die fighting than living under the shadow of a coward, no it was now or never. She was ready. And suddenly, the big cat attacked, charging with ferocity in a straight line. And just like her partner did, she moved to her side out of the feline's way, quickly placing herself a few feet away from the pack of the lioness. and there she could see the male dodging her deadly claws, and snapping at the angry cat.

This certainly would need teamwork, taking turns to be the distraction and the one who attacks. And as the male made of distraction, Eir in a quick way picked her first target, and as quickly as she could , races in a straight line toward the cat and in the quickest move she would land a bite on the lion's left tibia as hard as she could , shaking her head as she bites it trying to cause some damage, for then running backward in case of the feline attacking back. Snarls and tries to call her attention away from the stranger. "I like help, for the record."  Due to the seriousness of their situation, she ignored that comment, as her focus was on getting rid of the lioness as fast as she could. After this, she would talk , but for now, it was only actions and no words.

She said nothing, but he did not expect her to. He only hoped she would do well at attacking the lion while he distracted her, and she did just as he had hoped. He couldn't see directly what her target had been, but judging by the way the lion whipped around with incredible flexibility, he knew that she had landed it.

He didn't want anywhere near those front paws, as tempting as it was to go for the lion's throat while she had her head turned toward the other wolf. He knew better, he knew the moment he landed a bite to her throat, those claws would be ripping him to shreds for even trying something like that. He had to stay out of range, so he watched as she focused her mits on getting the other wolf off of her hind leg and made his choice.

The lion's tail hit him in the face on his way in, but he lunged himself right toward the lion's right back thigh, opposite of where Eir had made her mark. Before he landed his bite, he made sure to unhinge his jaws as absolutely far as they would allow- perhaps something he had learned from his serpent companion. When they came down on the upper inner portion of her thigh, he made sure to grab as much flesh as he could pinch with his fangs before they fully closed. He was a massive wolf with an incredible bite, but when dealing with opponents he did not know- he always took a generous portion of their flesh just in case there was a chance he would miss the artery he was trying to capture.

Luckily, he didn't. Almost immediately, the thinner skin of the lion's thigh became flooded, blood weeping from the vales that the teen's bite had created. He was certain that the lion would bleed out from this wound alone, but he did not underestimate her strength. Savagely, he violently shook to wedge his teeth into her flesh and create a wound that no amount of pressure would be able to stop the bleeding. He didn't have a lot of time to do this, however, as the lion whipped back around and dug her claws into his back right leg. With a pained growl, he immediately tore his leg away from the cat and shuffled backward.. her hooked claws being ripped from his flesh without much tact. They created incredible lacerations that bled well, but he knew it was nothing like what the lion was experiencing. They only had to wait her out now.

((OOC: We were at 2,000 words with the last post so you can post once more if you want and then it'll be over! I would also like to stick around and get the pelt, if that is okay.))

Trick 2019

Her attack landed as she was planing it to do, she did cause good damage on the feline's joint. Her fangs dripped with blood, but soon the lion's claws were going her way, she jumped to the left trying to dodge the hit. She almost dodged it, but the lioness managed to claw her back, where the neck and spine connected. She didn't complain, she just backed off watching the feline coldly, with no expression on her eyes, yea it hurt and the blood came down her shoulder, but she knew this was inevitable, of course, none could come without a scratch from such a predator. She knew this will be securely scaring, but each scar was a teaching, a sign of her braveness and tenacity. Scars shouldn't be a shame, they should be the proof of survival, of never giving up in life. She didn't mind coming out of this with scars, she wasn't going to die for this so not a real matter. And there she could see her partner ending the job by ripping a good portion of flesh, she nodded and watched as the lion started to bled, probably it wouldn't take long before it died.

She couldn't take her eyes off the feline, it could still strike. But as she watched, she took some time for watching the male for some instances, he did get an injury as well, but like her, he seemed to don't care much, though she couldn't tell. Calmly, she licked the blood from her fangs and shook her black and tan fur. They were victorious, they won. Her first fight, one she won, with help but she managed to be of use in something. The lion soon started to lose balance and in some instants, it fell down but tried to stand again. But Eir's expression was blank, just observing without no remorse. It was their fault for attacking in the first place. "Good."

Valentines 2020Critical Hit!
09-02-2019, 04:31 PM (This post was last modified: 09-02-2019, 04:33 PM by Dominus.)

Dominus stood in the face of the lioness, his blue eyes wide and his fangs still bared as his toes gripped the ground. He was still ready for her to make an attack on him at any second, but he could tell she was dying. He had been suppressing his breathing during his fighting, but as he noticed her start to stumble.. chest barrelled chest dramatically started to rise and fall, unlike it had been doing before.

He kept his mouth parted slightly and prepared to bite in defense, but his gums slowly disappeared as his features relaxed. The lioness eventually fell to the ground and he turned to face his ally for the first time. The lioness could get up, but he doubted she would.

"That was incredible, thank you for being here. Crazy how you knew I would need help, are you working with the lions?" He narrowed his eyes at her before his bloodied lips spread in a smile. He moved to the lioness now that she was weak, trying to do so as slowly as possible. He prematurely jerked away from her a few times as she twisted her body to try and lift her head up to watch the wolf. Her eyes were clouded, but the way she looked at Dominus told him that she knew what was coming for her, and she was accepting it.

The lioness looked away from Dominus and dropped her skull back against the earth, her entire body laying flat on her left side while blood pooled around her thighs. She was a beautiful white lion and Dominus took a moment to admire her for that before his teeth tore in to the side of her neck. The lion's fangs would flash as she sneered, but she did not fight. She allowed the wolf to end her suffering, but not.. without.. one last move.

All of her energy seemed to be conserved for this one call, a dying roar that startled Dominus and made him pull back from her body and stand attentive. At first, the sound confused him- but as the male of her pride started to bellow back, his eyes widened and he looked to the woman that had aided him.

"They're going to come and look for her. We need to get out of here." He gave one last look over her body and he felt his heart sank. He had thought about possibly skinning her and keeping her beautiful pelt, but something felt right about leaving her body to her family, as well. Dominus took off running down the Fjord, memories of the lion's last moments as they had their stare-off playing through his mind.

How fast even were lions? Could they outrun them...? The females? His eyes looked over to the woman he was running with, trying to keep track of her out of fear that one of them would catch up to them.

((ooc;; I don't know what happened.))

Trick 2019
09-02-2019, 10:38 PM

Eir's expression remained serene, untouched by any emotion, as cold as a glacier. And even the potentially heartbreaking scene in front of her could make her face change accordingly. The hardship she was raised in, made her strong, made her heart as strong as iron. Many could think of her as a monster or demon, but that came from those that didn't know her that well. She had felt like any other person, the only thing was that she learned to hide them, to don't allow them to blur her mind, to keep them somewhere else. And when the time came, she could be warmer and more expressive, but right knows she didn't feel like to. They weren't out of danger yet. "That was incredible, thank you for being here. Crazy how you knew I would need help, are you working with the lions?" "Not a problem." She started to say as her cyan eyes landed upon the male's. "Well, I knew no wolf can take a lion on their own, so I guessed you needed some extra jaws. And this was also a good opportunity for me to test my fighting skills. I just couldn't let it pass." She said less serious, a bit more playful.

After she finished talking, she contemplated as the lioness slowly died upon their feet. A shame, but it was her fault for attacking them in the first place. But well, nothing she could do now that it was done, she licked the blood from her lips and turned her back, taking a look to the wolf's injuries. "I am Eir Ragnarok of Lirim." She introduced herself.

"They're going to come and look for her. We need to get out of here." "Let's go." She said as stars to trot away hopping the male was following her. But before that, she rolled her body in the glass in order to mask her scent. "This way they won't find our track." After that she started to trot away, looking back to make sure he was coming too.
