Corbie

Corbie is primarily a soft white, like white ash from a fire rather than a starker snow white. Painted gently over the white is a mottled wash in shades of charcoal. The dark color stains all four limbs, the rear limbs to the stifle and the fore above the wrist. It bleeds down from her back like watered ink before engulfing her tail, smudges of dark color along her sides and neck and a thin line along her sternum and belly. Her face and ears are fully washed with it but for a white mask running along the top of her muzzle and forehead before meeting the white of her neck, interrupted beneath the eyes and at her brows by streaks of charcoal through it. A deeper purer black touches the tips of her ears and a little triangle of darkness within the white mask at her nose, and blends in places into the dark charcoal wash, particularly along the backs of her legs and bottoms of her paws. Her eyes are a gentle mint color, pale soft green within their mask of ash and coal. Her fur as as soft as the colors on it, as soft as rabbit fur though the length of any wolf's fur. Though average in size at 31" she is no delicate pixie, but a sturdy, agile hunter with grace and quiet determination written into every line. She has the physical endurance and strength of a wolf that spends much of their time in movement, and wiry muscle hides beneath the deceptively soft coat.

Corbie is a matter of fact, unflappable woman who takes the unexpected in stride without getting flustered or excitable over it, good traits to have for someone who has made agriculture a large part of their life. She is patient and rarely, if ever, loses her temper, though she is firm and won't back down when she has her mind set on something. She takes her responsibilities very seriously and, while she isn't one to dwell or brood over it, takes her failures equally hard. Though more introvert than extravert, she can find herself equally at home in the quiet solitude of the forest or in a crowd. She doesn't fit the flashy mold of a take-charge, gung-ho leader, but she is the quiet, reasonable sort of leader who can calmly organize chaos into order without losing her cool. Orphaned young herself, she has a soft spot for young creatures and the helpless. As serious as she is, Corbie still has a quiet sort of humor and though she doesn't wear her heart on her sleeve she blossoms around those she cares deeply for.personality
