Úlfr
When first found Úlfr is a scawny and ailing boy. Thin and wiry with a scruffy coat he looks worse for wear, but with a little tlc he'll start to fill out and put on muscle. As a pup though his paws will still be considerably large compared to the rest of his frame and make him prone to tripping. He also has large ears that he will never fully grow into.
Under the care of his adoptive family Ullr will grow into a handsome young wolf. As he ages he'll grow rapidly until he stands at a respectable height of 36". Athletic and rugged in build he'll lean neither to the light nor heavy side, instead resting somewhere in the middle. Taut, muscular thighs move the man in a confident walk, his defined, angular shoulders completing his frame. Agile and quick, Úlfr will finally grow into his paws which partnered with his mature senses will make him an exceptionally skilled hunter and tracker.
Úlfr boasts a base coat of white that is cool and stark like a fresh snowfall. The upper half of his body is cloaked in a pale sand with flecks of downy gray along his back and the edge of his ruff. The gray darkens into a 'v' that spreads back from his shoulders to the middle of his back. Úlfr's ears are a deep, chilled brown. This color also marks his right foreleg in a single sock that stands out against his other snow white limbs. A band of rust colors the bridge of his nose and also paints the tip of his tail. Perhaps the most notable marking on his face is the black that starts at the corner of each eye and moves out above each cheek, tapering elegantly to the edge of his face. This deep marking draws attention to startlingly silver eyes with pupils ringed in a brilliant sky blue.
Úlfr will grow in confidence as he ages, becoming an daring, spunky man. Restless and curious he will take to wandering often. This movement helps him to deal with his anxiety and refocus his mind on other things. He is not the kind of wolf to sit still and wait. He prefers action and goals. Confusion and uncertainty make Úlfr irritable and snarky. While careful of what he says for the most part Úlfr has no problem speaking his mind though it's always in a roundabout way. He's careful about who he might offend and still struggles with his emotions. Though he will work to keep himself more in control as he ages he will start to become more moody, defensive, and quick to anger. His great sensitivity to others, however, will help to cool his anger quickly before he can do much harm to those he cares for.
Cautious of others Úlfr keeps his inner self carefully guarded regardless of the smile on his face. Honest and determined he is able to adapt quickly and respond to most situations and encounters. He spends much of his life yearning for understanding and he aims to free himself from the doubts that constantly plague him. These doubts push him to keep moving, always searching for something that flickers just beyond his sight.
The older he gets the more disciplined he'll become. Úlfr needs predictability and he instinctively begins to impose structure on his world, building routines and plans. While not necessarily neat and clean, he does value precision in the face of life's inherent messiness. He wants to feel in control. The routines and structure all help him to create that feeling of control that he craves. Úlfr dislikes surprises and has impatience with errors, and seeks to maintain his progress and goals in the face of life's many distractions.
Pup:Despite the hardship he suffered early on, Úlfr is a sweet and spunky boy who loves to be active and explore the world around him. He feels safest with his adoptive family and takes great pleasure in making them smile. Some what shy of others Úlfr will stick close to his family at first, though as he begins to settle in he'll grow more and more adventurous.
Úlfr does have a few quirks, however, that can make him seem a bit eccentric. Ailing with anxiety Úlfr will occasionally suffer panic attacks and bouts of paranoia, mostly in the form of nightmares. Sometimes these worries follow him into play and he will speak of something stalking him or he'll feel a need to constantly check that his adoptive family is ok. With patience and kindness, though, he will make great improvements as he ages.
Intuitive and impressionable Úlfr is a dreamer with a wild imagination. He lives for play and fights with all his heart to free his mind from the trappings he often falls into. He's eager to learn and will listen with rapt attention to whatever he's being told, even if it's wrong. Tell him that pups grow from seeds planted inside a turtle shell and he's likely to believe it.
