Theory
Other white markings on her black base coat include a lick of white on her brow, between her eyes, and wisps of white in her inner and outer ear. A semi-circle of white lies just beneath her chin and throat, with all four legs marked in the same white. Unusually, her tail is only a few inches long, although it is well-furred, with black fur on top and white on the bottom.
Theo is loyal to a fault, especially those she cares about. Her family come first and foremost, with their bond as close to sacred as she might experience in her daily life. She cares deeply for her siblings and parents, although their co-parenting (or lack thereof) has her confused. Tana's abandonment has certainly caused Theo an intense amount of pain - she is too young to understand the adult goings-on of the matter, and has instead internalized it as a result of her own shortcomings. It will likely effect her self-esteem for a long time to come.
As a result, she has tried to bond more with her littermates. They are, after all, the only ones who could understand her pain. She has been somewhat distant and detached as she struggles to adjust to a new normal in Abaven. Theo is typically bright and ambitious. She is a sunny optimist who refuses to see the bad in the world and is quick to give others the benefit of the doubt.
Adulthood:
Theory came into her own roughly and quickly in the face of disaster. She was left to make sense of her fractured family after Tana's death and Noir's twisted abandonment. It's no surprise that she grew close with Shaye, Abaven's former alpha and her father's once-partner. She took up the mantle of heir and was thrust unprepared into the role of alpha at the young age of one. Her new rank has left her self-conscious and over-compensating to try and maintain the illusion of confidence. The safety of Abaven is her primary goal.
With Shaye's passing, Theory is left to bear the burden of her grief almost entirely alone. The once optimistic little girl still tries to radiate a sunny exterior, but she's brooding and desolate when left to her own devices. Where she once saw possibility everywhere, she is now wracked with doubt and unsure how to move forward. She thinks obsessively about the pack and the future of its children, hoping that they won't experience the same suffering that she did in her youth.
After coming down with the mushroom infection that swept the area during one Boreas autumn, Theory has been struggling to return to normalcy. She has been wandering for some time, occasionally with clear thoughts and distinct sense of her surroundings, but more often lost deep in a fog.
In her travels while her mind was lost and she was at her lowest, Theory came upon a gnarled grove. A three-legged healer lived there with a strange disposition. They hardly spoke during her time recovering in their care. In fact, they insisted upon silence. But eventually, through many treatments she didn't understand using herbs and flowers she couldn't recognize, she felt her faculties return to her. When she felt strong enough - nearly normal, finally - she woke to an empty den. The healer had left in the night, having felt they completed their duties. Theory set out for again for home.
