Áki

Height: 42" Weight: ~210 lbs Voice: Thick Finnish accent An honestly massive beast, Áki looks far more intimidating than he truly is. He boasts a considerable build, far larger than most wolves and likely a bit stronger. The thing that is most noticeable about Áki is the tusks that protrude from his lower jaw -- perhaps seen as a deformity by some, but certainly something that sets him apart from others. His base coat is a light grey, accented with darker greys that focus around his paws, snout, down his back and tail. He has vibrant red bands around each of his lower limbs, with circle markings beneath each one. The same crimson markings can be found beneath his eyes, on the tips of his ears, and lightly dappling his back. |

FREE —Freedom and independence are what define Aki. He lives and breathes autonomy, and he knows with ever fibre of his being that he will sooner die than be controlled or ruled by another. He is wary of authority and refuses to submit to anyone, regardless of who they are. He has little sense of obligation to anyone or anything, other than to his family, and he seeks to constantly do whatever he pleases.
BENEVOLENT — Despite his drive for freedom, Aki is good at heart albeit slightly selfish at times. It is rare for him to wish malice upon another. He has a secret, nurturing aspect to himself that even he is mostly unaware of, but be does recognize that be can be empathetic even to strangers. SELFISH — Perhaps in addition to his independence, Aki is ultimately self-interested. He lives for himself and those he has chosen to love, and despite the fact that he is kind to most wolves, it is unlikely he would sacrifice much for someone he didn't truly care for. His morality is self-interested and comes from within, and most of his decisions are made from his own conscience, without regard for others.UNCONVENTIONAL— Having been raised in a tribe, Aki is wildly different from most wolves. He does as he pleases, and goes where he pleases, often with little thinking ahead. In this way, he is quite free-spirited. |
Languages — Fluent in Finnish and English
Culture — His family comes from a tradition of nomadic tribes. They are known for following the migration of reindeer, and generally subsisted off hunting the weak members of the herd. They view their relationship with reindeer in particular as a sort of coexistence and they often feel a deep connection with them, even mourning them as they kill them. Religion — Áki is intensely spiritual, along with the rest of his family, with a religion based on the Sami religion. They worship nature and nature-based gods and goddesses. They believe that all inanimate objects (such as trees, rocks, rivers, etc.) possess spirits and that connection with the spiritual world can be obtained by some wolves. In particular, he relates deeply to Rana Niejta, the daughter of the sun who is responsible for ending the cold each year and allowing spring to come, as well as Horagalles, the thunder god. |
